We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Paddle Sport Instructor to deliver fun, safe, and engaging paddle sport sessions.
This role is ideal for someone with existing qualifications or experience through Paddle UK, BSUPA, or British Canoeing, or for someone eager to develop and work towards these awards.
You will work with a range of participants, delivering high-quality instruction while promoting confidence, enjoyment, and progression on the water.
Requirements
- Must be of legal working age
- Ability to swim confidently
- Willingness to complete in house training
- Availability between May and October (flexible hours available)
- Passion for paddle sports and working outdoors
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with children, young people, and adults
- Strong awareness of safety and risk management
- Reliable, punctual, and a positive team player
- Paddle UK, BSUPA, or British Canoeing qualifications (any level considered) or Previous experience instructing or assisting with paddle sport sessions

Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, enjoyable, and inclusive paddle sport sessions to individuals and groups
- Instruct a range of paddle sports, such as paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, or related activities
- Ensure all sessions comply with safety standards, risk assessments, and operating procedures
- Set up, maintain, and safely store equipment
- Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and constructive feedback
- Adapt sessions to suit different ages, abilities, and experience levels
- Represent the organisation in a professional and friendly manner at all times
- Support the development of participants’ skills, confidence, and water safety awareness
